ICONIC 2022 is an integrated conference featuring paper presentations and keynote speeches organized by the Indonesian Student Association in Germany (PPI Jerman) in Aachen, Germany. ICONIC 2022 will be held on July 2022 and will be a hybrid conference; it will be held both virtually and in-presence.
Before the event, prospective participants will submit scientific papers based on the given topics and then evaluated by a series of processes involving competent reviewers. Presenters will then present their papers to the attendees (according to their respective sub-theme) in the conference itself.
As stated above, the main highlight of the conference will be the Keynote speeches
and Paper Presentations.
Keynote speeches will be held for every subtopic of the conference in a seminar hall.
Keynote speeches will consist of speakers, who are carefully selected and adequate to discuss the topic at hand. Speakers would then be given a series of questions by the moderator and will discuss the issue at hand among each other. Keynote speeches will also be live streamed through the virtual platform in a webinar.
Paper Presentations will be held after each respected keynote speeches. A number
of presentations would be held simultaneously in different rooms in a series of sessions.
Presentations would also be live streamed for the webinar and recorded in order for the
attendees to have access to all the presentations.
Several speakers and presenters will present their presentations in-person, and some could present their presentations virtually. The number of observers will also be divided, as the number of people allowed to attend the conference in person are limited.
For those who are unable to attend the conference in person, a virtual version of the
conference has been created in order for attendees to gain the same experience one normally gains, during a normal conference. The virtual version of the conference will be held on a virtual platform. The platform will consist of avatars; each representing one attendee, and rooms which will be directed to a webinar when an avatar decided to enter the room. The platform also provides users with specific areas where they can interact with other people and have conversations, whether in groups or individually.
Both presenters and observers will receive certificates of participations, whether they have attended the conference virtually or in-person. Presenters will also have their papers included in ICONIC 2022’s conference proceeding. All participants will have a copy of the conference proceeding digitally; and an additional hard copy for those who are attending the conference in person.
